The Department of Sport and Health Science in AIT is proud to host the 5^th All Ireland Postgraduate Conference in Sport Sciences, Physical Activity and Physical Education which will take place on Friday, May 10^th, 2019.

The overall theme of this conference is ‘network to progress’ where postgraduate students from third level Institutes across Ireland can come together to present their work, share their learning and build partnerships in their chosen discipline. Research will be presented in the following core areas; Sport Performance, Physical Activity and Physical Education, Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation and Exercise and Health. There will be awards for oral and poster presentations across these areas.

There will be three keynote sessions throughout the day, from Dr Brendan Egan who holds a position as Associate Professor of Sport and Exercise Physiology in the School of Health and Human Performance at Dublin City University; Dr Kate Kirby who is currently the Head of Performance Psychology at the Sport Ireland Institute and Robin Healy, AIT Staff Member who recently completed his PhD in resistance training for sprint athletes.
